Dmitri was born in Ukraine, when he was 13 he moved to Israel, and is now in New York. Dmitri has taught chess for 20 years and is very nurturing - takes the time to understand each child and how his/her temperament can lead to a meaningful learning experience. The class will help children develop important skills including critical thinking, decision-making, and creativity.

My Chess Family, a long-standing New York based school that provides outstanding professional chess instruction to the Tri-State Area children and adults.

We, have a strong belief in the importance of early education. Our teaching style and methods reflect years of experience of working with children of pre-school and school ages.

✓ Creative goals:
include incorporating other disciplines and arts into the school's curriculum to provide a better variety of learning tools and creative channels that will allow our students to accomplish maximum achievements by exercising their reasoning and analytical skills, critical thinking, and creativity, while also developing their social skills, discipline and sportsmanship.

✓ Specialties: We offer private and semi-private lessons, group instruction, after-school programs, in-school Chess Clubs, holiday and school break chess camps and fun Chess Birthday Parties.

Class Experience
Friendly chess event open to all levels!

- there will be 3 sections
-all players who complete the full tournament will receive a medal or trophy

This is a drop off event.

Early bird: $45 with a code "lovechess" if register before January 14.
Regular: $55

Class Requirements
  • Beginner requirements: ability to move all the pieces legally.
  • Intermediate and Advance levels requirements: participant must be able to play through the full game, including the checkmate.
